Legally Blonde Movie Part 1 opening sequence 4

The film immediately starts with an joyful tune about a perfect day, this is followed an extreme close of blonde hair perfect hair this no knots, or tangled air.
This allows the audience to understand that this film is a Romantic-Comedy the main character is introduced to us though the use of close ups of her hair, face and legs, necklace etc. We then learn the name of this character ’Elle’ though a card that has been addressed to her in pink swirly writing.
The excess use of the color pink emphasizes the fact that this is an extremely girls film and everything within the scene is female. This is highlighted and exaggerated further by the swirly writing used to introduce the credits. The film seems almost plastic because the colors used and images we see are unrealistically perfect.
The film is stereotypically girly as the envelope is passed around the house to be signed.
