Today we continue to edit our video footage. I found out that the footage that we filmed was far too long and we need to cut it down significantly. However it was extremely hard to decide which shot to include and which shots to delete because there were several different effect angles. I also learnt that by pressing ‘I’ and ‘O’ we can select which part of a shot to use without constantly watching it and cropping it down. This helped us save time.
Another problem we encountered was some of the video footage we took was too shaky because we decided to use a hand held camera. We overcame this problem by using the ‘razor tool’ to chop off the pieces of footage where the camera is moving too much.
So far we have manage to finish choosing the shots and next time we edit we will start it add effects, such as ‘fade’ or ‘3D dissolve’
